Sir,
This will be handed to you by Mr. Morris Delaney, who has been employed in the Canal & lock work in the Susquehanna & on the Potomac - he is a steady faithful man, and gave satisfaction in the Service of the Potomac Company. Should such a person be wanting at Harper's Ferry I can venture to recommend Mr. Delaney, for fidelity sobriety and attention to his business as a lock master &c.
