Sir,
In reply to your favor of this date I have the honor to inform you that the Saw Mill on this land belonging to the United States, was rebuilt by me the summer past - and may now become the property of the U. S. in paying the cost of her - or I will hold her on a rent to be agreed upon this year until she has [cleared?] herself
