Sir,
Agreeably to my promise of yesterday, I now enclose a check on the Bank of the United States, in my favor, or order; which I have endorsed payable to you, for one thousand dollars. The Sum requested by you, for the Quarter Master department, will be transmitted by a Warrant, in your favor, as usual, tomorrow, and deposited with the Cashier of the Bank U.S: for your receipt for the amount.
Fenno we hear (to day) is not dead; but the death of Bache confirmed.
