The The Secy of the Treasury presents his respects to the Secretaries of the Departments of War & the Navy & requests their attention to the Letter of Lane & Salter of the 3rd instant herewith enclosed -- Messrs Lane & Salter have recd. Dolls. 1000 in advance to enable them to undecipherable establish a Foundary -- The want of models & an [undecipherable] for Cannon have hitherto delayed a formal Contract -- Further delay may be [undecipherable] & injurious.
