I transmit enclosed a receipt of John Habersham Esq., dated April 1st 1798 for one hundred and fourteen dollars and seventy four cents, applied by him to defray the incidental and contingent expenses of the Department of War in the State of Georgia, which receipt is to be amassed to a warrant to be issued by the Secretary of War on the Treasurer, in favor of said Habersham, who is to be charged and held accountable for the same on the books of your office.
