I have the honor specifically to commerce to the office of the President of the United States and military employment Major Isaac Hinton
and although he never served in any army yet has spirit and his gentlemanly manners seem to qualify him eminently for an officer
he would officer a company of cavalry
knowing that the greater the number of candidate
it must however afford great satisfaction to every lover of his country that there appears at this crisis a deluge of all ages and ranks (with but few exceptions in this quarter) to press forward into the active defence of their country against a voracious and immoral set of usurpers, who have hitherto met with too little resistance
