I enclose you some letters which have come to me, soliciting my
agency in procuring appointmt. as Surgeons. _ Mr. Reynolds & Mr. Purdie are
personally unknown to me. _ The Gentlemen who recommend them are known
& I have noted upon their letters respectively in a brief manner my estimation
of them. I am with perfect respect
