Enclosed is a statement of your current which exhibits the monies you received from Colo Nevil the pay of Colo Bensons Regt of Maryland Militia (employed the Pennsylvania Insurgents in the Year 1794) viz the amount by you to said Regiment - leaving a balance in your hands Drs. 63.72/100.
The vouchers on which the several credits are founded very imperfect and all subject to a revision at the Treasury Department, I have (the better to substantiate their validity) annexed to the account current an affidavit, which you will be pleased to attest to before a Magistrate, & then forward it to this office, for the purpose of its being filed with the Pay rolls on which you received the advances.
You will also be pleased to transmit the sum of 63.72/100 drs, being the balance remaining in your hands viz the amount thereof will, as soon as received be entered to your credit accordingly.
