Sir
I have to acknowledge the receipt of [a] letter of the 17 Instt enclosing a copy of the payroll of your company, Penna Militia, amounting to 170 4/100 drs, being balance of pay due them on the Western expedition in [missing text] attested before a Magistrate, & will be filed with the orig[inal] payroll on which you received the advance.
