Arms & Camp Equipage of General Chambers' Brigade

Description

Upon the return of the Army in December 1794, Riddle received orders to take into his care the arms and camp equipage of General Chambers' Brigade. These articles were packed up and sent to Lancaster. When he returned to Chambersburg he was informed that blankets had been left with a local shopkeeper who said they were wet and would rot if not taken away.
