Title

Interruption in the Calm of the House, Etc.

Description

The letters related to Wolcott's land business will be forwarded to him. Neither Monroe's memoir nor Frauchet's publication has done any harm nor made any converts. The letter from the Commissioners of Revenue to the House of Represenatives has produced no effect. The calm of that House has been interrupted by an effort to tread upon the power of the President relative to foreign intercourse and by one member spitting in the face of another.
