Request for Account Information or Refund

Description

Money advanced to Salmon for pay of regiment called up to suppress an insurrection in the Western counties of Pennsylvania. The money that was issued to Col Carlisle's regiment of Maryland militia and Major Lynn's battalion of Virginia militia must be refunded to War Office since no vouchers were transmitted to Treasurer to exonerate Salmon. Col. Nevill was furnished with corrections to attend to final settlement of said expedition. Neville will visit Office on the 15th by which time Simmons hoped vouchers will be furnished by Salmon.
