Description

Simmons requests account details regarding monies advanced to Stevenson by Pressley Neville for pay of militia to suppress an insurrection in Pennsylvania. Money was advanced to Stevenson by warrants, who then paid general field and staff, and field staff of Virginia militia commanded by Generals Morgan and Duke. Stevenson is asked to produce unaccounted-for warrants, and in case of deficiency, to refund the balance to the Treasurer of the United States.
