Description

Payroll for August received by Simmons. Total amount: $22.21 which will be received from Fish upon procurement of duplicate receipts. Receipt roll for June will be paid to Fleming's credit. Fish will give Fleming a further sum of $200.00 for uses of the Ordnance Department. Simmons requests Fleming to discharge Thomas Hughes account. Simmons will not credit Fleming's account for payments made for hire of Public Team under Col. Rochefontaine. Secretary of War informed Simmons that as soon as a sufficient number of officers can be assembled, there will be a court of inquiry to investigate the conduct of Rochefontaine
