Pittsburg 16 June 1797
Sir
I have this moment received your letter of the 9 & 10th inst. together with the Packets therein - severally mentioned and which I shall without delay of more than two hours send by a confidential hand express to Fort Washington by which means it is probable these dispatches will be delivered several days sooner than by the Ohio Mail boat.
At ten oclock this morning an express arrived from the Commander in Chief at Fort Washington with three Packets addressed to you which are herewith enclosed together with a letter addressed to Clement Biddle esq.
As I have not yet had the pleasure of an answer to my letter of the 19th ultimo respecting the Buildings erected at the expence of the U.S. at this place and at Wheelen I have to beg your attention to it at a leisure moment.
i am Sir Your Obed Serv
