Title
Guns Wanted for the Revenue Cutter
Description
In July 1794 Hodgdon was directed to receive from Captain Dale nine six-pounders and one four-pounder, with their carriages, that were taken from the armed ship "Vanstable," alias "Chickamauga," that was illegally equipped for war. The Secretary of War believes that there will be impropriety in providing those same guns for the use of the Revenue Cutter.
