Having made a request for a statement of all materials and stores purchased on account of the frigate building at Boston, Secretary of War McHenry reprimands naval agent Henry Jackson for non compliance. He notes that when public servants neglect to carry out their orders, every part of the business suffers. Closes by stating he wishes to enforce a speedy compliance to every clause of instructions given.
