Description

Hodgdon is asked if knows anything about Captain DeButt's trunk, containing his clothing, which was entrusted to Captain Wade in Detroit and which Wade said would be included with the Commander in Chief's baggage. (A note says that the trunk with a saddle and bridle was forwarded by the wagoner James Whiskey on the 17th of June 1796 to Major Craig.)
