Title
Further Instructions Regarding Possible Spies
Description
Cited in Wayne to McHenry, 10/28/1796. Wayne provides further instructions for capturing the three enemy agents operating in the west (Thomas Powers, Victor de Collot and Joseph Warin), relating their known movements. He states that a supply of commissaries and ammunition has been ordered for the use of Pike's post. Pike is told to examine the boat minutely, in search of papers, which are to be read if found.
