Sir I received your Letter of the 1st instant enclosing your Muster & payroll for September 1796 which has been examined and amounts to One hundred five Dollars & 46/100; which sum you will receive from Jn Chester Esq. Supervisor of Connecticut on giving him duplicate receipts to be accountable for the due application thereof P.S. You have charged in pay Roll Wm. Backs pay two cents short.
