business is still undone.

Permit me to ask the favor of you,

to ask leave of the Honble the Secretary of
War for me to go to that Country -- I will engage to
get a reputable trusty gentleman ( Major
Bedinger)of the Town to answer any orders
and do the new pay business here in my ab-
=sence and that I will not be gone longer
than ten weeks -- my claims are all examined
and such as want clearing seperated from the others
in short all my summer work is so arranged as
not to be default in my absence.

Please write me on the subject as

soon as possible provided you do me the favor

I am very respectfully
Your Ob Servant
E. Langham
