Talbot informs McHenry of the orders Knox issued him eighteen months ago upon which he appointed Daniel Tingley as clerk of the yard. Tingley had recently taken ill and died that morning. Talbot wishes to know if McHenry wishes to appoint a new clerk or give someone at the yard directions to make the appointment.
