Sir

Henry Glen Esq. a member of Congress has exhibited to this Office an account wherein he makes a charge against the United States for the storing of a quantity of Military Stores (in his store in the Town of Schenectady[)] from the 1st of June 1794 to the 31st of December 1795. I find on examination that he has had an allowance of this kind up to the 1st of June 1794 founded on a letter from you to the late Secretary of War dated 6th June 1794. I therefore wish you to inform me whether the stores mentioned in your letter <s>and</s> are still in his possession, and if any agreement has been made with him for storing said articles.

I am Sir & c_<br />
William Simmons
