No Money for the Recruiting Service
Description
Dayton's account of his rations while at Elizabeth Town and West Point are enclosed together with the Contractor's certificates. Following Major Tousard's orders, he has recruited four or five men despite the lack of recruiting money. He advanced them their bounty with the expectation that money would be sent but so far that has not occurred.
