Title
Northwest Territory and Indians
Description
One hundred Indians are at Greenville awaiting the completion of the treaty. As some appear to be of a hostile disposition, Smith doubts that there will be a peaceful resolution. There has been rapid immigration to the territory and it provides much hope to the landed speculators. He himself has traveled in the Ohio Country west of the Miami River and believes to to have the finest soil and water.
