Description

Enclosed is a bill of lading for public shoes that have been in storage since the Summer of '92. The shoes were delivered to Manning, Wychoff & Co. by Beach & Canfield who had been contracted by the Secretary of the Treasury to supply the Army. Captain Cornelius Sedam informed Manning, Whychoff that the shoes should be forwarded to Philadelphia.
