Report to the Secretary of War, relative to the fortifications at West Point. Niven was employed in superintending lime-burning, collecting stone to Fort Clinton, making and repairing roads, making and repairing tools, and repairing parts of the rear wall of Fort Putnam. He employed many miners, masons, laborers, and teams.
