At the important Conference held at Konondaigua between the United States V the Six Nations, and which is just now closed, Articles of a treaty have been agreed on which are calculated to confirm and perpetuate this peace and friendship. During this conference, the War Chief Jish-kaa-ga, usually called Little Billy, manifested a disposition well suited to the occasion, and which could not fail to have a useful influence in bringing to a happy conclusion a business so highly interesting to both parties.
In testimony of this, and of my friendship for that Chief, I have hereto set my hand and seal, at Konondaigua, the 16th of November 1794.
Timothy Pickering
Commissioner
for the United States
