Description

The War Department Accountant encloses extracts of a letter from Constant Freeman, agent for the War Department in Georgia, and of a letter from Secretary Knox to Governor George Mathews of that same state, respecting the pay of a troop of dragoons consisting of 4 commissioned officers and 79 non-commissioned officers and privates amounting to $8,268, for their service between December 1793 and June 1794. Requests that Secretary Hamilton furnish the Treasurer with this amount, if the claim is authorized.
