Notification of Power of Attorney to Settle Accounts
Description
George M. Bedinger authorized Henry Bedinger with power of attorney. H. Bedinger was given enclosed papers to settle accounts of G. Bedinger. G. Bedinger suffered from a "rhumatick" situation and hoped H. Bedinger would state his case to the Secretary of War. H. Bedinger charged with pay furnished at Fort Pitt by Major General Wagner, but never received any further pay after October. H. Bedinger settled all other accounts of G. Bedinger through the agency of Mr. Robert Rutherford. Balance still due G. Bedinger from the United States. Details regarding G. Bedinger's stay at Fort Pitt.
