Description

Responding to Knox's request of 10 April, Humphreys provides an estimate of the quantity of timber and plank for a frigate 147 feet keel, 43 feet beam, 14 feet hold. He estimates it will take 55 men two months to cut the live oak and cedar required for construction of frigate. He provides detailed measurements in his calculations.
