Sirs
The Treasurer has remitted to Nicholas Fish Esqr Supervisor at New York the following sums to be paid you viz. For pay of your recruits for Decembr 1793 -- 31.87 For pay of yourself & recruits for Janry 1794 - 78.40 For do - do for February 1794 - 98.40 Amounting to Dollar 208.67
Which you will disburse and take se= parate receipts agreeably to the inclosed pay rolls of those months -- Your sending the Muster of your recruits for December taken in Jersey and including those left at Brunswick as well as those who marched with you,rendered it impossible without recourse to your Ensign for information to make out a pay roll - you

are perhaps ignorant that an Act of appropri= ation must pass before any money can be drawn from the Treasury _ when you are in= formed it may account for your not receiving pay in this Year untill now ~
