Pay Due the Scouts of Mercer County

Description

Mr. Britt has been given the pay due the scouts of Mercer County for their service in 1790 to be refunded to Swan if the payments are not made. Chrisopher Greenough has been authorized to receive the money and has informed Howell that he has made the payments. Howell therefore has paid him and taken his indemnification so Swan should appropriate the same sum in discharge of the pay, subsistence, and forage of the Army.
