Commissioners note arrival at Fort Erie on Friday, 23 August 1793 and dispatched letters to Major General Wayne and General Knox. They request multiple conveyance, utmost speed and the sparing of no expense. Report that treaty talks have collapsed and western Indians refuse to make peace.
