Description

Doctor Jonathan M. Scott is leaving for the Headquarters of the Army to the Westward and is delivering the money for the pay, forage, and recruiting of the Army, including bounties. The Secretary of War authorizes Swan to make advances on the warrants of the Commander in Chief of the Army for which he will be held accountable. Enclosed is a continuation of the list of warrants and pay rolls of the recruits of Captain Kersey and Captain Howe who are not yet under marching orders.
