Entry notes that Federal Commissioners left Navy Hall at Niagara on 10 July and arrived at Ft. Erie 11 July 1793. On 14 July set sail for Detroit River; arrived on 21 July; took quarters with Captain Matthew Elliot, assistant to Colonel McKee. Commissioners want to know when the nations of Indians are ready to move from Council at Rapids of Miami to Sandusky.

Having dispatched these letters the Commissioners left Niagara and the next day (July 11th) arrived at Fort Erie July 14th. The wind favouring, we sat sail for the Mouth of Detroit river where we arrived the 21.st in the morning, and took our qzarters at Captain Matthew Elliots. He is an assistant to Colonel McKee.

we embrace this opportunity to inform you of our arrival at this place where we shall wait until we have intelligence that the nations of Indians at the rapids of the Miami are ready to move to Sandusky. We shall be greatly obliged by your endeavours to expedite the Councils of the Indians that we may meet them without more delay. you will add to our obligations by sending us the earliest notice when we may expect the Indian nations will arrive at Sandusky that we may be there at the same time.
We wrote you on the 30.th May but having
received no answer are apprehensive that our letter did not reach you.
