Title

Giving up the Murderers and Robbers at Traders Hill St. Marys

Description

On behalf of upper Creeks, letter from Tuckabachee. Authors acknowledge receipt of talks from Mr. McDonald. Refer to Spaniard talks to be held on Tuckabachees on 12 June. The headmen of both upper and lower Creeks have agreed to kill the perpetrators of robbery and murder at Traders Hill St Marys, and will notify Seagrove via Weatherford when completed. It will take time because of Indian animosity toward whites and because Indians do not do things as directly as whites. Seagrove's talks preceded Spaniards' with effect that Spanish agent reluctant to give his, which came from governor of New Orleans. Authors pledge loyalty to father of United States General George Washington and his people.
