Account of Private Francisco Florida with the United States
Description
Claim of Private Francisco Florida, 1st Virginia Line. Howell notes that much of claim rests on certificate given by Colonel William Davies, who claims he saw him previous and subsequent to surrender of Cornwallis in 1778. There were a number of men recruited in Virginia. Notes that he has allowed pay to extend to the time of Cornwallis surrender; after which, from his own confession, he does not appear to have been in active service.
