Mr. McKee has not been able to convince the Cherokee chiefs to come to Philadelphia nor was he able to obtain assurances of the peaceful disposition of the young Cherokee warriors. His report will demonstrate, however, the hostile intentions of the Creeks toward the Cumberland settlers.
