Sir

The Secretary of War requests that you will receive from on board teh “Vessel Commerce” lately arrived from Charleston South Carolina a quantity of damaged gun-barrels &c Public property and have the same deposited in the store under your care.

I enclose you a copy of A. A. Mullers letter of the 23d Ulto on the Subject.
