Title

Escaped Prisoners & Prospects for Peace with Some Tribes

Description

Knox discusses the prisoners taken captive in October and November who have escaped and made their way to Jefferson. Wells, the new interpreter, was also taken by the Indians when he was 13 by the Eel River Indians and adopted by them. Though they are known as great liars, the Eel River Indians might be disposed to peace along with the Wabash Indians.
