From the last conversation I had with you I was led to expect the honor of a letter yesterday. I am anxious to receive it for, until I do, I cannot take a final decision on the Grant Point, nor bring myself to any conclusion on the manner of managing some lesser lines, and there are circumstances turning up every day in that sense to increase my anxiety.
