[indention] I beg leave to Introduce Cd. George McCully the Bearen, a Gentleman formerly of the Pennsylvania Line, of afterwards Commanded a Battalion of Militia of this country, he has Resided some Considerable time of French Creek where he has been in trade, is intimately acquainted with Cornplanter, and other Nothern Chiefs, has a Geneoral Knowledge of that Country, & of the Court of the Lake, and of the Interests and Views of the Nothern Indians, as he is only a few days from Fort Franklin, & now on his way to Philidelphia, I have Requested him to wait upon you, presuming that you might wish to make some enquiry of a Person so Recently from that Quarter--Especially as his Information may be depended on -- [centered] I am Sir
