Fort Hamilton 19<sup>th</sup> - January 1792
Sir/
Your letter of the 17<sup>th</sup> - came duly to hand- + I have to inform you that no Coin has arrived either for the Carpenter in Dublin- out of the small quantity I have your returning Horses have been furnished.- As Iron is worked there for many purposes- + you have not absolutely promised to send any on to replace the small quantity in store I cannot share you more than two bars- but promise you none of the remainder shall be used unless absolutely necessary untill you have time to send me some of a different quality in its stead, as I observed before [Oxen?]. Lockets for leting [undecipherable] are absolutely necessary. I can not think of sending the whole but you might [undecipherable] replacing it. One of the Flags you mention shall be forwar =ded to Fort Jefferson by the next post the other they leave to return - as
