One box contains 160 pairs of woolen overalls and the other contains 133 pairs of woolen overalls and 499 pairs of woolen socks. A receipt for delivery should be transmitted by post.

By desire of the Secretary of War I forward you two boxes contg the following articles of clothing for the Troops in the service of the United States, by the way of Amboy. The receipt for the delivery shall be transmitted you by Post wishing them safe and speedily to hand. [illegible] with much respect

Q. M. General in Phila. the danger of the Navigation excepted he paying the Customary charge of Transportation having Sign'd Duplicate Receipts -
