Preparations for the Campaign

Description

Hodgdon has not eaten or slept for the previous two days but feels his labors have been crowned with success for all went off well. He followed the boats downriver for five miles and then left them when all seemed well. The stores, however, are a dangerous load and need continued care. The standards, the horse bells, and the remainder of the axes Hodgdon will be happy to receive along with any other necessities for the campaign that he will acquire before he descends the Ohio.
