Sires
I have recieved your letter of
the 7th infant. The information which you
transmit is peculiarly satisfactory. I am
confident all things will ve well arranged
in your department.
The clothing has gone forward
and I believe every other thing, the additi
-onal shoes Shoes and olors excepted, which will
be in motion in a few days.
M.r Swan has not yet re
-turned from Maryland, but I expect
him daily, upon his arrival it the em-
-ployment is agreable to him, he soon
will join you -- Captain Houdin will
set out to day.
I hope all good reports res-
-pecting General Scott may prove true,
but I am ignorant of what they are.
As
As you will soon descend
the Ohio, if the pack horses should be de-
ficient the general will direct you to
furnish the number which shall be
necesary.
I am
Sir
Your most obedient and
humble Servant
Henry
