Sir
have sent you Twenty five horses care Mr. Henry Wood avrage forty four 3/4 Dollars which I hope will please, I have Twelve more purchased but the people was not to bring them in untill Saterday though just to forward what I had rady-- Could have purchased a number more but [undecipherable] so small a part of the Cavelry to purchas did not Exert my self-- if I had could have processed as many horses and on as good terms as those who was furnished with Capt-- if any more horses is wanted for the Cavelray or wagon horses probably in the course of nixt week could send you thirty with the Twelve I have on hand there is a sorol mare included in the above number which I purchased for a packer horse Twenty Dollars I find pack horses can be had on very good tirms as I had but a small proportion of Cavelry to furnish please give me order for what pack horses you wish to have purchased in these parts will engage to procure them on as good turms if not better thin any you
will have. I supose in the course of two or three weeks. Could suply with two hundred --these will Sirtanly be a number more wanted then you have alrady engaged will thank you for the prefference Sir your of the 28th Ult [lundecipherable] that you are not determend with [undecipherable] of corn you may recolect that you fave me verbol orders to purches two or three hundred bushls if it could be had at 1/10th I agreed with Mr. Tilten for that quanty which I must take and promosed to take the four hundred if agreable to you-- Mr. Tilton wishes to honor if the corn will be took in the eras I think it will be but--but waits your answer I have sent to Muddy Creek and gave orders to forward the Boats imaditly an informd the river at that place was not Navagble yesterday
Shall do every thing in my power to have them down to Pitsburgh-- please inclose five or six hundred Dodllars bank nots in a letter by the return of the [undecipherable]-- I remain with respectSiryour Most obdt H ServtJohn Acheson
