Description
Howell has delivered to Capt. Erkuries Beatty $9,000.50 in gold and the further sum of $17,844.50 in post notes. This money he is directed to put into Hodgdon's hands and it is to be appropriated agreeably to the enclosed estimates by the Commanding General unless he shall find it necessary to call it forth for more important purposes.
