Sir
My Brother is here from Boston to consider with me respecting the sale of our Lands at Muscongus as I have been a resident of this place for a Number of Years I am Tottaly unacquainted with the Quality of the Lands and the price they will sell for.-- I have therefor taken the Liberty to write you on the Subject, as you are a Proprietor in the same Tract of Land and as we are disposed to sell our Interest in said Lands-- I would wish to tender you the first offer and would esteem it as a particular favour you will be please to inform me if you are Inclined to purchase and what is the most you will give per acre for 2,500 acres--as my Brother will wait your Answer to this letter must beg you will be so condescending as to write me the result of your determination as soon as Possible
I have the Honour to be withEsteem & RespectYour Obedt hum ServtJohn W. Wendell
